Track watch: Is Charlie Curnow injured or not?
Intrigue around Charlie Curnow's start to the season has intensified after he left the track mid-way through training and sent for scans this morning.
He left the track holding his leg with trainers by his side.
Curnow was slated to only complete half of Saturday's match simulation session after only beginning his reintegration to the main group this week after off-season operations on his ankle and knee, but left the track with trainers and didn't reappear.
He has since been cleared of any structural damage, with the club breathing a huge sigh of relief.
He completed a full session on Monday and a modified session on Wednesday. But with this latest scare, it looks like his place in Carlton's Round 1 side is looking less and less likely. Especially given the nature of the opponent.
The Blues completed close to 2 hours of match sim in six different blocks in front of a two thousand strong crowd at Ikon Park.
The matchplay was largely split in As vs Bs, with the strong starting midfield of Tom De Koning, Patrick Cripps, Jagga Smith and Elijah Hollands contesting the centre bounce for the As.
George Hewett, Marc Pittonet, Lachie Fogarty, Matthew Cottrell and Corey Durdin were among those in the Bs.
Harry McKay looked strong taking contested marks and kicking goals and also taking the time to engage in a scrap with teammates Lewis Young, Marc Pittonet, and Jaxon Binns in a lively session.
Another Blue on the comeback trail, Sam Walsh, didn't participate in any of the match sim, restricted to running drills and laps as he continues to rehab a strained hamstring which occurred in January.
Jordan Boyd didn't appear outside in any of the session while star midfielder Adam Cerra was given clearance to miss the session as he is getting married today.
